Our Cairo three quarter / small double bed frame is the clever middle ground – more room to stretch out than a single, without taking over a smaller bedroom the way a full double can. Its matt black steel frame and bar headboard give it a modern, industrial edge.
It's a genuinely heavy-duty frame, with a reinforced centre rail and support legs underneath for extra stability, and a metal grid base that gives the mattress firm, even support all over. It's designed to stay quiet and solid – ideal for couples, single sleepers who like space, or busy rental properties.
The small double measures 120cm wide and 198cm long, with an 80cm headboard and 50cm footboard, and takes a standard three quarter mattress (120 x 190cm). There's 27.5cm clearance underneath for storage. With over 35 years in the trade, we know a 4ft bed is a brilliant choice for a box room or spare room.
