If you want a double bed that looks smart without taking over the room, the Flyde is a cracking choice. The slim black spindle headboard gives a nod to classic design, but the matt black finish keeps it bang up to date – and because the frame is so open, it helps even a smaller bedroom feel light and airy.
It takes a standard 4ft6 double mattress (135 x 190cm) and measures 144cm wide by 198cm long, with a 121cm high headboard. Underneath, sturdy metal slats and a centre support leg give your mattress a firm, even base, and there's 28.5cm of clearance under the bed for storage boxes.
We've been selling beds for over 35 years, and a simple metal double like this is one of the easiest ways to freshen up a bedroom without spending a fortune. Free delivery. Mattress sold separately.
